At Simon G. Jewelry's Exclusive "Summer Soiree" this weekend, Raven Symone was track-free and showed off her natural hair. Her pink frilly one-shoulder dress was an easy, summery choice, but her lovely Afro, dressed up with a sweet bow headband, was the highlight of her look.

Raven lost weight way too fast. Her face looks droopy and a little hard. I think she has a great personality and is a talented actress.

SHE IS GETTING WAY TO SKINNY!!!! She is looking bad. She has finally given into the predominantly White crowd she frequents who think being a boney size "0" is sexy.
But overall as a person who maintains her business and her good character, I really like her.

She is beautiful, but you can tell she is still not comfortable with her current weight. The weight loss has aged her tremendously. But I still love, love, love Raven she is the ideal role model for young girls.

I totally agree. Fat chicks cant go from a 20 to a 2 and expect the same "look" as someone who was always a two. People who were always a two have a frame that balances out the amount of fat and muscle they are carrying...genetically. JHud, Star Jones and Raven simply look ridiculous, forced/sickly and off balance. All three are looking way masculine and much less beautiful than they were when they had enough fat and much to soften their features. Its one thing to tighten up your body to get rid of excess fat and skin for health and beauty reasons, but you have to work with your genetics for it all to balance out beautifully. Its one thing to get thin to wear cute clothes, but when your head is bobbling on your neck, your skin looks like leather, your legs are dried out and you look 20 years older, is it worth it? They each need to add at least 10 -15 lbs to make the look work for their frame.

Why can't this be about weight loss? Does race need to be brought into it? Really!!!

By: Who said black women are supposed to be fat??? on 6/09/2011 5:20PM
Sweetie, there are plenty of black women who naturally are a size 0 or 2 -- and aren't boney. Who says that all black women have to have rolls of fat hanging over their jeans or cellulite ripples everywhere? Huh, who said that? Look on the walls of ancient Egypt -- those sisters were lean, fit and slender!!!

OMG I do not like the way she looks. I am proud of her for being a strong black women growing up with so much pressure. But I hate to think pressure is what is making her lose so much weight. She looks older than her age.

I think her hair is cute, and the dress. Her curves were cute too. Why do they always say the embrace their curves then they go lose a bunch of weight?
