HEART-SHAPED
KERI HILSON

Not afraid of taking hair risks, we've seen Ms. Hilson in too many hair styles to name. This asymmetrical bob defines the angles in Keri's face and really puts emphasis on her fantastic jawline. The longer side with the bang adds a little playful touch and softens up the rest of her face.
KELLY ROWLAND

Kelly is truly a hair chameleon, but this is, by far, her most daring look to date - at least in my opinion. The low tapered sides and sharpness of her side swoop draws the eye straight to her profound facial features. If I had a face shaped like hers, I'd want everyone to notice its beauty as well.
Heart-shaped dolls don't be afraid to show it all off. Take your next hair cue from the stars and go get your pretty girl rock on and let all the fellas know - yea, it's done like this!
OVAL
SOLANGE

Solange's mane has expressed itself in multiple forms: afro wigs, braids, no hair, long hair, blonde, red, highlights - the list goes on and on. My favorite, however, would have to be this au naturel twist look. The upward and outward twist adds character, and her face looks healthy and full. Don't be afraid to go for the chop. There is no rule anywhere that prevents oval beauties from trying their hand at something other than a bob.

Now, we might get some debate here as to her face shape; however, because the Queen is curvaceous, that does not mean that her face automatically falls into the round category. Check out how this slick back showcases the angles at the bottom of her chin - divine. Never one to fit a mold, be like the Queen and pull your hair off the face to show your face in all of its glory.
SQUARE
THANDIE NEWTON

Reminiscent of a low side bun, this soft wave works well for this face shape by softening the features all around. Sweep the hair to one side, like Thandi, to show off the jawline and add some flavor. Steer clear of boxy cuts such as blunt bobs, which can make your face look harsh and one dimensional. Trust me, no one wants to walk around and look flat - literally.
JANET JACKSON

Call her Ms. Jackson, if you're nasty, or Ms. Chop it all off and finally show my gorgeous face. When Janet stepped onto the scene with this new look, most of us were aghast - at least I know I was. This tapered, yet layered, look is totally sexy and can take your look from 0-60 is 10 seconds flat. If you're square-faced and want to try something new, be sure to add this to your bucket list!
ROUND
MO'NIQUE

Now, Mo'nique's hairstyles of choice have not always been the best to suit her face. They've either been too big and make her face look bigger, or too tightly pulled in a ponytail, which again makes her face look bigger. Well, someone got the memo that a soft mountain of curls would do the trick for this talk show diva. If you're face is round, the best thing to do is to slightly frame it, especially with curls.
ASHANTI

I love this pie-face chick. We share the same born date, so I am slightly biased. This daring high-fashion look is a step way on the other side of her Libra scales from her normal straight-and-narrow style. The high ponytail can be tricky, but if executed well, it can make a round face sing sweet tunes. Her stylists gets an A++ rating in my book for helping her step out of her hair comfort zone and into the hair matrix. Love it, and if you're at home thinking, "No, can't do it, face not thin enough," get those inhibitions out of your head and put 'em on top instead!

I can't really tell if those looks fit these ladies, all I see is an illusion. Doesn't the whole look have to be pulled together. Without the extra, they'd look different and I could see if the face, unadorned, and the shape does fit the hairstyle. What about we "natural" women? Many are choosing to not use relaxers, false eyelashes, heavy makeup, hair dyes or have nose jobs. Many women are wearing locks or their natural hairstyles. Where is the representation for us? We are not TV personalities nor Hollywood stars who are expressing an illusion for the cameras, we are beautiful natural black women. Time is changing and many are no longer basing our beauty on a fake persona but are embrassing our natural beauty, skin, hair, etc. It's difficult to see the true person because of the plastic surgery, fake eyebrows and lashes, heavy makeup, etc. The facial shapes and the hairstyles are not the only factors to consider here. Just my view.

I like the hair and make up style of KELLY ROWLAND. It is also available to office or most of parties.
Therefore, it is very useful.
