'American Idol' champion Fantasia Barrino has had arguably one of the most successful careers on the show. However, her hairstyles, much like her life, have had their fair share of ups and downs over the years. Here's a trip down memory lane to see just how much Fantasia's look has evolved.
Hair Transformation: Fantasia
When the baby-faced singer first hit the scene in 2004, she wore a super gelled and spiky look. While not one of her bests, this is a style that we are sure to never forget.
Keeping the hair short, Fantasia successfully matures her look by lightening her hair up a bit. The gentle color and softer edges of the hair age her in the best way possible.
Fantasia switched it up at Clive Davis's 2005 Pre- Grammy party. She took a departure from her normally high 'do with these shiny and smooth waves. Very 1920s!
A little hair goes a long way. The singer girl completely changes her look in 2006 with the addition of a long, blonde side bang. This edges her up in a very cool way.
Proving Snooki wasn't the first girl to rock the poof, Fantasia arrived at the BET Awards with this tame bump. The modest bump highlights her facial features and softens up her overall look. The Jersey Shore kids could learn a lot from this 'do!
Fantasia channels our feathered friends with this lighter style. She sticks with the pointy hair we most recognize her for during a trip to MTV's Total Request Live.
Not satisfied with just one color, Fantasia hit the 2008 Grammy Awards wearing this two-toned creation. She added very little make-up to this so as to keep the focus on this unique 'do.
Fantasia made sure she wouldn't go unnoticed at the 'American Idol' finale show. She shocked us by adding a bright red dye to her hair. Kool-Aid, anyone?
Barrino looks like a sexy grown woman at a 2009 tribute to Clive Davis. The cut and color are a great compliment to her skin tone and face shape.
After a rough year, Fantasia stops by 'Good Morning America' in 2010 with this mod look. It's edgy enough to be unique, but polished enough to look mature. This look topped off a much-welcomed healthy appearance for her fans.

That cheatin dik sukin bish is ugly, got a mouth BIG as all outside and will slurp anyones husband, All wile under that ugly fake white look hair doo. Black women hates her own hair and will stoop to any low to color, hotcomb, white look wig, or hang that funny looking weave off the back of that nappy head with 2 textures of hair showing, one nappy and real the other plastic and fake. We love our women of color natural and happy in her skin. Fantasia looks like a cartoon. real reconize real!

I absolutely love the 20s and the yellow bird looks on Fantastia. She should always rock her natural. There's nothing more beautiful than a naturally beautiful black woman. Weaves and wigs are ok sometimes. Unless you're completely bald or have some type of skin and scalp disorder, there is no reason you can't take the time to take care of your own hair. By the time the chemicals, and weaves mess up the edges and the rest of your scalp you may qualify for a diagnosis of skin&scalp disorder. Stop being lazy ladies. Your hair cannot be that hard to take care of. You did before weaves and wigs became popular, and you looked good doing it. Try it again.

I love when perfect people tell it like it is. Dang I wish I was perfect with no flaws like you. Maybe you are so angry at Fantasia, cuz somebody took your man. Don't worry Boo Boo he might come back if you beg him enough. Guess what, Fantasia is laughing all the way to the bank. She might have issues, but she's good. Peace!

You sound so ignorant. White women do the same thing they add extentions and add on pieces to their hair. Hell they add it to their 3 year olds hair. Hell and if we jockin they style then they must want to be black cause they spend so much time in a tanning bed hell im not sure if they know what color they are.Being human is about being able to experiment with change nothing to do with color.

When black women copy that same white mess look they look like clowns thinking their fake white look makes them beautiful black woman.. Not.. That look is only good for actresses, singers, and people in the media, and lets not forget some politicians. But for EVERYDAY on black women to wear that funny looking half white half black holloween costume... Its cool to give that look a rest. We love our women of color natural .... black women look beautiful with curl. Keep expirimenting with your natural look and your hair will fall out around the ears like Naomi Cambell. Like who and what you are, You can't care about others unless you care about your true self. (kind true right cause women can HATE on each other in a fast minute lol ) Change might not have anything to do with color if your blind, But some of this white look weave look can hurt the eyes with 2 textures of hair showing with swinging it around like its her real hair. And the fact that white styled hair doos on woman of COLOR makes her look crazy fake funny and phoney anything but a woman of COLOR !
