Outfit choices can be a hit or a miss, but Grammy hair is one thing guaranteed to be a sight to behold! While you may not have been feeling Monica's or Rihanna's choices in outfit, their tresses were sleek and sexy as always. Who to thank? Celebrity stylist Ursula Stephen, who always keeps their manes managed in tip-top shape. Here are a few tips from Ursula on how to get Rihanna's bob or Monica's crop.

"When Rihanna and I collaborate, we are always searching to recreate her image through her hair," says Ursula. "Since we've recently done a lot of texture and length, we wanted to mix it up; I wanted to try something a little newer on her than the sleek bob you're used to seeing. A sexified, tousled, bouncy bob [looks] amazing. It's the opposite of the larger curls and length we've done recently, and as far as bobs go, it's a heavier look -- not a lot of layers, just big, bouncy and sexy!"

GET RIHANNA'S LOOK:

1. Apply a light-hold spritz and use a big curling iron to bevel (using a curling iron like a flat iron) the hair; instead of clamping the iron down in sections (which will cause unsightly bumps), run it through the hair, smoothing it down then curling the ends. Beveling hair adds body and curl that isn't too big or too tight.

2. Pin the big, round curls up and allow hair to cool, adding more body. Let them loose, add a little more spritz, and finger-style curls so that they frame the face. Use a shine spray to lock in the look and add glossy brilliance!

"Monica was wearing an origami-inspired dress, so I wanted the hair to have some contrast and shape," says Ursula. "Her hairstyle is one that can be reworked on a daily basis and is easy to have fun with."

GET MONICA'S LOOK:

1. Pre-moisturize the hair with lotion (it makes wrapping and molding easier), then comb out and apply a light-hold spritz.

2. Separate the hair into small sections and curl with a small-barrel curling iron. Curling each section in different directions will create drama and life! "Right away, the hair stands up on edge," says Ursula.

3. Mix a dime-size dollop of pomade with serum and run through hair, molding it to your desired shape. For added lift and a dramatic effect, tease the roots at the crown of your head with a comb. Set your style with a shine-enhancing spray.
