Golden Globes and BET Honors week brought a lot of chic updos to the celebrity hair front this week, and we loved it! Yet when celebs decided to let it all loose, we loved it even more – especially
Michelle Obama's sassy new look. Here are the top 6 hairstyles of the week.
Michelle Obama teamed up with
Walmart to speak about food availability and affordability within the chain's locations, but that's not what we noticed – it was her cute new curly 'do that captured our attention! The First Lady traded in her usual straight bob for cute curls that make her look chic and youthful.

At the
4th Annual BET Honors, actress
Gabrielle Union diverts from her usual lengthy do and gathers her curls for a well-planned messy updo.

We don't know how she did it – actually, yes we do; she's a supermodel – but
Iman managed to turn
Dracula's classic hairdo an ultra-chic, mega-glam modern style.

Actress and 'Top Model' runner-up
Yaya DaCosta goes big at a
Golden Globes party, rocking tight curls with crazy volume - a great compliment to her shiny party dress.

'Access Hollywood' co-anchor and correspondent
Shaun Robinson shined at this year's
Golden Globes in a shimmering, full-length, one-shoulder gown and a classic updo reminiscent of old-time belles.

Jennifer Lopez' new side-swept 'do has been everywhere recently, from here at the Fox Golden Globes after party to '
American Idol.' We're wondering why she didn't come up with it sooner – it's hot!

It appears that you all are still thinkg that hair that looks white is tyhe best looking hair; I dissagree. My wife have dreds and she and others like her have beautiful hair. As a matter of fact, when she goes out she turns heads. We are African American and we have diversified hair and styles so you all nedd to show this diversification.

Folks turn their heads because they are thinking, "WTF, that nappy, dirty looking dread crap". Don't fool yourself into thinking heads all turning of heads, is in appreciation of what one sees.....LOL

Don't understand what all the uproar is about. Michelle just used curlers or set her hair on rollers. It's cute but nothing special. I get the same reaction from my students because I usually wear mine pulled back but occasionally I curl it.
All the ladies being talked about are black until the end and up pops JLo. WTF is that all about? Being with Diddy didn't rub off on her. :-)

gerspanski, take notes African-Americans are so creative that you people can never get it right. You need a class in ethnicity and cultures before you rant off with your remarks.DREADS ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN OTHER LOCKED STYLES,YOU SEE WE HAVE DREADLOCKS,TWOSTRAND TWIST,SISTERLOCKS,TRADITIONAL LOCKS.AND BROTHERLOCKS.LOCKTICIANS TAKES CARE OF OUR HAIR BETTER THAN YOU DO WITH THAT PERMED DYED ADDED WEAVE AND OTHER GARBAGE YOU PUT IN YOUR HAIR.WE HAVE NATURAL HAIR PRODUCTS,THAT NOURISHES OUR TRESSES.I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MICHELLE GOES REALLY NATURAL.IT WOULD BE AMAZING TO SEE A COURAGEOUS BLACK WOMAN IN HER NATURAL ELEMENT IN THE WHITEHOUSE.RESPOND TO THIS,YOU UNKIND GOD'S HATERS OF HIS CREATION.!!!!

I have worn my hair in a variety of styles (straight, curly, braided, croppped afro, etc.) and I am contemplating "sister locks" because I am SICK of the same ol' same, not because of pressure from others. It is we black people who must embrace our natural hair, not those who don't like us in the first place. To h*ll with what others think, so as long as we love ourselves and what God gave us. Rock ruff 'n' tough with your afro puffs.
