To put an end to hair tragedies like these, we put together a list of the top hair weave brands. Whether you prefer custom blended hair or packaged hair, there is something for everyone.
Believe it or not, there are some packaged hair brands out there that can stand up to any custom brand, and Outre is definitely one of them. Outre hair comes in dozens of textures, colors and lengths, but we suggest the Premium New Yaki Hair ($19.99, BeautyOfNewYork.com). What's great about Outre hair is that it's inexpensive, and unlike the lower grade packaged hair, it resembles human hair. The only downside is that Outre hair sheds quite a bit.
Red Hot Celebrity Hair
Rihanna appears to be channeling little orphan Annie with her latest 'do. Although nothing this songstress does with her hair really seems to shock us these days, but it took us awhile to get used to her bold choice of color.
Nicki Minaj changes her hair color as often as some women change their underwear. The Young Money Princess has admitted she likes to switch up her 'do so often to keep from getting bored with it. Orange and green may not be for everyone, but Ms. Minaj you get a pass.
Fantasia isn't afraid of bold colors. The former American Idol contestant experimented with bright reds awhile back to add some flare to her usual short 'do.
Jordin Sparks brought some edge to her girl-next-door look by adding a few fuschia tracks to her dark locks. The rocker look is fun and flirty, which is perfect for the young songstress.
Kelis has always been a show-stopper with her no holds bar attitude, eccentric style and wacky colored hair. The red is a huge improvement from the silver hair she was previously sporting.
Kelly Rowland loved to experiment with color during her Destiny's Child days. Who could forget her blue hair phase? These days the solo songstress is sporting more natural colors.
Keri Hilson is known for switching up her do every now and then. This time around the songstress experimented with some dark red tones. These days though, you can find her sporting an array of blond shades.
Keyshia Cole is definitely a woman who isn't afraid of bright colors! Since entering the game, she's worn just about every shade of orange and red under the sun. Somehow she's made it work. These days Ms. Cole seems to have her heart set on blond.
Tameka "Tiny" Cottle recently added a little oomph to her blond tresses with a few hot pink tracks. We're loving the color.
The benefit of getting custom blended hair is that you can select the exact color and texture you want to create your custom weave. When it comes to custom blended hair, Adorable Hair Corp is hands down one of the top brands in the business. A number of stylists and celebrities just adore the brand.
"I've been buying Adorable hair for my clients for years now, and they always rave about the quality," says celebrity stylist Elethia Smith. "It's just one of those things where you get what you pay for." With custom hair, you can get your tracks customized, but it'll cost you a bit extra. If you want your tracks thinner or less likely to shed, then it is well worth the price.
It's impossible to list the top hair weave brands without mentioning Sensationnel hair. So many women swear by their Goddess Remi Natural Yaki hair ($67.99, BeautyOfNewYork.com). By no means is it cheap, but it offers a sleek look without being too silky. If you want to achieve the same look with custom hair weave, Lugo Hair Center is a very affordable alternative.
Whether you're into packaged or custom hair weave, the wide variety of hair colors and textures offered almost guarantees that you'll be able to find the perfect match.

Respectfuly, that's the contradition. You say not to care about what anyone thinks, but you do care about what people think. That's why people wear weaves. If you REALLY didn't care about what people think, you'd leave the make-up and the weave at home and go out or go clubbing all natural. But you won't, because you want to present your self as fine as you can. Why? Because you're worried about what people think.

Sesame St. is teaching Black girls to embrace their hair and this so-called Black blog is worried about “Packaged Or Custom weaves?! You kidding me? I'm 38. Growing up there was Black Identity. We embraced ourselves and our looks. "Black Is Beautiful" was the slogan. Black Identity has been lost and replaced by an ignorant, unconscious, anti-intellectual "gangsta" culture. Black Identity empowers you to look beyond the Eurocentric standard of beauty by loving your self. Like the conscious sisters who wear short naturals. They are rebelling, real and have love for themselves. Weave wearing sisters, frankly you hate your self. You hate your hair. Your God given hair. How can you go to a church and claim to accept God when you don't accept yourself or what God gave you? Personally I love Black women. There's nothing unique or special about white women or any other races' women. I don't want half-breed kids. My girl is Black, but she doesn’t wear weaves. Lots of brothers don't want to deal with weave wearers because it's an unnecessary expense that can run into the $thousands. You got a $500 weave, but have to borrow money for bills. Second, it's about integrity. Your not real. To me, it's pure self hate bordering on insanity. These women spend billions annually on fake hair, fake nails, fake eye colors, fake-up (make-up), which is for white / pale skin, fake boobs, fake booty, fake purses and fake designer clothes. Then got the nerve to say they want a real man. It's sad that Sesame Street has to teach Black girls to embrace their hair. Their mothers are supposed to teach that. Instead, their mothers put weaves and perms in their hair as young as 2 and teach them they’re Supposed to wear weaves and perms. Thanks Sesame St., for trying to empower our daughters with lessons of integrity and self love, because their mothers are teaching their kids to be insecure, to be fake and to hate themselves. When a girl sees me, she knows what she's getting. I see a girl with all this stuff on, I really don't know who she is. In reality, she doesn’t know who she is either. Leave your hair alone. Let it grow. Corn-row dudes have more hair than girls today. Why, because they let it grow. Your / my hair is beautiful. We're the Original People. We are the standard of beauty. Embrace your self. More people will embrace you. One more thing. PLEASE don’t copy Rihanna and that red dye, shaved head / Mohawk look. That s--t is UGLY. It’s not Black American, it’s not cute , it’s f----d up. Let your hair grow..

@ Shawn... I disagree with your comment. Why do black women have to be insecure. I like to be versatile with my looks, I've worn, short, long, curly and straight weaves and wigs.... when I look in the mirror I like what I see, so if you want to call it insecurity, then so be it....you are entitled to your opinion...

Right On! Right On!
Sisters may find this hard to believe but, if they were in touch with their inner selves, they could grow their hair as long and fast as they desire.
They dont know how to be themselves, or who they are,(they have lost their way) resulting in cellular atrophy, and other syndromes.

If a person want to ware a weave then let them! I do not understand why people are making a big deal out of it. I do not ware weave, nails or make up. That is my choice but if a person want to ware them things then I do not see a problem with that. I have to say I do see a lot of females that ware hair weaves that look a hot mess. I am not only talking about Black women but I have also seen White women with bad hair weaves too. The only problem I have with hair weaves is that people do not take the time out to pick the right kind of hair that go with their real hair texture. For example, if you hair is nappy and jet black do not put brown weave in your head. First you have to perm that hair and then find the right texture and the right color that match your hair.I see a lot of women waring Wigs, I do not see anything wrong with waring a wig but make sure that the wig looks good on you before you walk out side. You have to get a wig that works for you, every style is not meant for everyone. I think people need to take the time out to see what works for them, it does not matter if it is natural look, a wig, or hair weaves long as the person feel good about them selves that is all that matters.

A wig is a fucking wig, bottom line lol no matter Egyptian,African,or European descent its fake hair whether it be an afro wig ,european style wig or braids they still originated from the brown skinned people if you don't like them so bad and wanna be au natural then so be it,there is no reason for you or anyone else for that matter to get down on someone else because they choose to enhance themselves and their beauty by wearing a wig/weave that does not make one any less black nor does it have to mean that they r insecure about their looks
And for the ones that say black men don't like natural hair smh where they do that at?? lol my hair is natural and i get nothing but compliments from black and white lol i have never encountered a negative comment about my natural hair nor has any of my friends or family who sport their natural hair maybe the problem is with you and not your hair

Never wore a weave, never had the urge to. I believe if God wanted me to have hair, he would have given it to me, which he did. It is long, and thick. Never wanted to dye it BLONDE, never wanted it flowing down to my azz. I use what God blessed me with, and not all women look good with long, fake hair....Don't believe the hype.

I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH WEAVES,AS LONG AS THEY'RE WELL MAINTAINED. I GET SO SICK AND TIRED OF SEEING SISTAS WITH BAD WEAVES,OR MULTI COLORED HAIR, THAT DOESNT COME CLOSE TO MATCHING THEIR SKIN TONE.
I CANT TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES A DAY, I SEE LONG,STRAIGHT,FLOWING HAIR, ONLY TO SEE THE 'KITCHEN', ALL NAPED UP. OR TO SEE A FEMALE WITH BLOND OR RED WEAVE, AND SHE'S THE COLOR OF CHARCOAL. IF YO'RE GOING TO WEAR A HAIR STYLE OR COLOR, TRY CHOOSING ONE THAT COMPLIMENTS.
I ALSO WANNA SAY TO THE HAIRSTYLIST, I KNOW YOU'RE ALL ABOUT THE MONEY,BUT TRY STEERING YOUR CLIENTS IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.DON'T JUST SEW IT IN,AND LAUGH YOUR HEADS OFF WHEN THEY LEAVE.
SISTAS,HAVE MORE PRIDE IN YOURSELVES. THERE ARE SO MANY SHORT,SASSY AND SEXY HAIRSTYLES. AND AS ALWAYS SO MANY NATURAL HAIR STYLES.
AND FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO INSIST ON DUMPING ON BLACK MEN CAUSE THEY WANT WHITE WOMEN FOR THE LONG LOCKS; I GUESS THATS WHY YOU'RE TRYING SO HARD WITH THE WEAVES.
