To put an end to hair tragedies like these, we put together a list of the top hair weave brands. Whether you prefer custom blended hair or packaged hair, there is something for everyone.
Believe it or not, there are some packaged hair brands out there that can stand up to any custom brand, and Outre is definitely one of them. Outre hair comes in dozens of textures, colors and lengths, but we suggest the Premium New Yaki Hair ($19.99, BeautyOfNewYork.com). What's great about Outre hair is that it's inexpensive, and unlike the lower grade packaged hair, it resembles human hair. The only downside is that Outre hair sheds quite a bit.
Red Hot Celebrity Hair
Rihanna appears to be channeling little orphan Annie with her latest 'do. Although nothing this songstress does with her hair really seems to shock us these days, but it took us awhile to get used to her bold choice of color.
Nicki Minaj changes her hair color as often as some women change their underwear. The Young Money Princess has admitted she likes to switch up her 'do so often to keep from getting bored with it. Orange and green may not be for everyone, but Ms. Minaj you get a pass.
Fantasia isn't afraid of bold colors. The former American Idol contestant experimented with bright reds awhile back to add some flare to her usual short 'do.
Jordin Sparks brought some edge to her girl-next-door look by adding a few fuschia tracks to her dark locks. The rocker look is fun and flirty, which is perfect for the young songstress.
Kelis has always been a show-stopper with her no holds bar attitude, eccentric style and wacky colored hair. The red is a huge improvement from the silver hair she was previously sporting.
Kelly Rowland loved to experiment with color during her Destiny's Child days. Who could forget her blue hair phase? These days the solo songstress is sporting more natural colors.
Keri Hilson is known for switching up her do every now and then. This time around the songstress experimented with some dark red tones. These days though, you can find her sporting an array of blond shades.
Keyshia Cole is definitely a woman who isn't afraid of bright colors! Since entering the game, she's worn just about every shade of orange and red under the sun. Somehow she's made it work. These days Ms. Cole seems to have her heart set on blond.
Tameka "Tiny" Cottle recently added a little oomph to her blond tresses with a few hot pink tracks. We're loving the color.
The benefit of getting custom blended hair is that you can select the exact color and texture you want to create your custom weave. When it comes to custom blended hair, Adorable Hair Corp is hands down one of the top brands in the business. A number of stylists and celebrities just adore the brand.
"I've been buying Adorable hair for my clients for years now, and they always rave about the quality," says celebrity stylist Elethia Smith. "It's just one of those things where you get what you pay for." With custom hair, you can get your tracks customized, but it'll cost you a bit extra. If you want your tracks thinner or less likely to shed, then it is well worth the price.
It's impossible to list the top hair weave brands without mentioning Sensationnel hair. So many women swear by their Goddess Remi Natural Yaki hair ($67.99, BeautyOfNewYork.com). By no means is it cheap, but it offers a sleek look without being too silky. If you want to achieve the same look with custom hair weave, Lugo Hair Center is a very affordable alternative.
Whether you're into packaged or custom hair weave, the wide variety of hair colors and textures offered almost guarantees that you'll be able to find the perfect match.

Not that it's important or even relevant (or amirite?), but I personally don't know of any "brother" who actually likes weaves [on sisters]. If Black Voices has the glands, this might be an eye opening (and hopefully mind altering) survey to undertake. As a side tip to my Sises; did you ever consider that weaveness might be making some bros notice white girls a little bit more?

Hi Bam:
If this is true what you say, then why is it that so many brothers chase white women or any other race of women now other than black women? I know there are still many black men out there who love us for us and don't want us to look like the European standard, but sadly this has become the exception not the rule. We as black women are not given our due in America to the attributes that makes us beautiful. Black men as well as other races of men who live here in America, have especially been brainwashed with the constant imagery and adoration of white women. This has had damaging effects on all race of non-white women; for example, Asian women also compare themselves to a European standard of beauty and they prove this because a cosmetic procedure in which the eye is made wider and rounder is very popular among Asians. I do however feel, that the greatest damaging effect has been on African American women.
I will give you an example of something from my own life. I vowed to never wear a hair weave or get a lace front wig. I have always, however, relaxed my hair or wear it naturally. For about two years now, I have not had any relaxers or chemicals applied to my hair. For the most part, when I put gel in my hair, it becomes naturally wavy. Well, just for an experiment, I bought a cheap lace front wig to wear. I got more approving looks in public when I was wearing that head of obvious fauxness then when I would wear my hair naturally. This the truth.
So if you are one of those black men who admire us and all our naturalness, then speak up and make more black women feel beautiful by telling them this. Just a nice, simple compliment would do wonders.

We are not all egyptain so you need to go and research your history. The MessiYah Yahoshua had wooly hair and if we were suppossed to be immersed and be like the messiYah shouldn't we be natural like the father intended us to be wake up Ysrayl for the time is running out! And as for the eygptians the wore braids and wigs that were not of the european origin!

A lot of US men prefer white women or women with lighter skin as a rule. Whether it stems from historical prejudices ingrained into our black/white consciousness or from personal preference is unknown. The norm in the US is that long and straightened hair gives a more attractive and acceptable look or appearance. Hair trends change based on what is popular or preferable in a society-black or white( all blacks dont have tightly curled hair and all whites dont have straight hair). that said, I think people need to accept that "weaves" are mimic(ing) styles that can't readily be achieved by a lot of women because of natural hair texture. We also need to accept that the popular and current style right now is to look almost plastic. Look at the most popular stars or which famous women are considered most attractive right now. They all have a "plastic" or unreal appearance

Furthermore, I dont think it's an issue of "brother" liking weaves on women or not--they also dont like afros or short hair. So we now open the door to a whole 'nother issue. Black men are the only men Ive heard say that they dont like fake hair but they dont like natural textured hair on women. why not just say We dont like black women. Most dont. Black women doggedly follow trends-the current one being long hair -obviously fake or not. I call it the video girl theory. Men claim they want this and that but when it boils down to it a half dressed chick with 60 inch hips and breasts to the waist with a 26inch blonde wig on will get the man every time. so, Black women- we need to either get a white man or become lesbos--problem solved

I WOULD LIKE TO ADD A COMMENT BECAUSE OF BMORE GIRL AND LISA. LESBION IS NOT THE WAY TO GO. NOT ALL BROTHAS PREFER WHTGIRLS. IN MY CASE SISTERS DO NOT TALK, EVEN IF YOU TELL HER SHE'S FINE, OR A QUEEN. THEY KEEP STEPPING WITHOUT SO MUCH AS A THANK YOU. SO I EXPERIMENTED, ALL I DO IS SMILE AT A WOMAN WHO ISN'T "BLACK" OR A "SISTER" AND I GET A SMILE BACK OR EVEN A PHONE NUMBER. WHATS UP WITH THAT?..AND DON'T SAY THEY ARE EASY, THEY ARE FIENDLY! PROBABLY DON'T WANT TO SCARE A MAN OFF WHO COULD BE A DATE. WHO WANTS TO GROW OLD AND DIE ALONE ANYWAYS? BROTHAS, IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE, EXPERIMENT ON YOUR OWN AND YOU WILL SEE THE TRUTH.
