Porsha Kisses Her House Keys Goodbye!
I am a lucky lady indeed. At the Lollapalooza festival here in Chicago, I got to see Erykah Badu take the stage and bring her feminine power and unique energy to this traditionally rock, electronic and male-dominated festival. Click here for a review, complete with video!Despite a late beginning and some sound cross-over at the end of her set, Badu was flawless and had the crowd completely under her spell. And her bold new hair and bangin' new earrings -- excuse me, Earwings -- stole the show!
Erykah is normally recognized as an icon in the natural hair community, but she's also always been known to rock a wig, extensions, and whatever else she feels like rocking! Her hair is provoking some interesting debate over at Black Girl With Long Hair regarding her status as a natural hair icon.
Regardless of what folks are getting from Erykah's ever-changing style, she reassures her fans -via Billboard - that she is indubitably here to stay. And we're happy to hear that, cause Badu is always giving us something to talk about!

I think she looks fanfastic..... at least she's dressed, and not commiting murder as she did in her one video. I just wish she was twenty five or thirty years older. "I love me some Patti labelle". And as far as (val) saying that she looks like a peacock, well that's ok, it's all good because peacocks are one of the most BEAUTIFUL birds on this planet!!!!

What on earth is wrong with black women today? They just continue to look more, and more ridiculous. Then they wonder why no one wants to marry them, and that the majority of them are alone. Just, both sad and unbelievable.

I mean..DAMN!!! She is an entertainer. It's for show. I'm sure she doesnt go to the grocery store, pta, doctors office, etc. dressed like that. Badu is the baddest in the game, a true artist. Her music is what stands out 1st. Unlike GAGA, Beyonce, and many others that HAVE to be a gimmick to sell music.
Big-ups to Badu for closing out her show with a Lena Horne tribute. I know some of yall have no idea what I'm refering to. I wonder how many other females of this generation gave love to Lena Horne??
