Seh also posted a few photos of herself sporting the new look on her website, mydamnblog.com. The photos were taken while Solange recorded her third album in Santa Barbara, Calif. and show off what looks like two different natural looks. Earlier blog posts feature a tightly curled 'do with more definition while the most recent pics show off a pouf-tastic style. Solange wroter about her new look on Twitter. Hinting that her super-cute new hair was purchased, she wrote, "I would have to have some supa doopa hair grow for all that growth. Wanted to try something new & EASY for recording & dragon it twas." She followed that up with "Imjustbeinghonest:)"
Solange has always been more adventurous with her hair than her sister, Beyonce, who generally sticks to long, blond locks. Last July the younger Knowles shocked everyone when photos surfaced of her rocking a bald head. When that look sparked criticism, Solange took to Twitter to explain that she, "just. wanted. to. be. free. from. the. bondage. that. black. women sometimes. put. on. themselves. with. hair."
Since then, fellow soul singer Chrisette Michele debuted a blond fade and the blond baldy of model and sometime-celebrity-girlfriend Amber Rose has become epic.

Poor twang! She reminds me a lot of lionel richie adopted daughter, both, other than being in media most of the time seems lost and searching for something that is lost, I hate to be mean spirited but neither one really has a talent other than being akin to a famous person, Though i hope that nilch is found by them because they both loves that A-list attention they gets but has no clue what they did to earn it. But at least solange can sing a little though i don't think that her pipes can get her to the status any where near that of her sister and richie daughter can plain just as well forget about it!

Interesting...She is so beautiful...It takes a lot of guts to try to be who you really are or to take risks. I wish her the best & hope she finds who she is & who she wants to be.

Solange is a truly beautiful black sister that is just sporting a natural hairdo and she has naturally wavy hair. This is a hairdo that Jill Scott or Lisa Bonet would probably wear. What's the big deal? She is a sweet and nice person, in fact, the whole family are sweet people. Solange if you reading any of this, please disregard the negative comments. You are growing up and looking more and more like your sister Beyonce. Please get back into the studio or television because you are just as talented as your big sister. Be blessed my sister :)

I love the fact that she is finally being true to herself. I love the new hair. This hair makes her look like Corrine Bailey Rae. Just know they talked about Jesus Christ and he died for us all, so you will not be any different. DO YOU SOLANGE!!!

Her hair is awsome but as soon as anyone sees something that even looks similar to natural African american hair they get scared and call it kinky ... her hair is awsome. Her hair doesnt have to be straight to be cute.

I think Solange looks phenomenal with her natural look. I am actually hurt and frustrated with Black people that knock natural hair styles. I think some people need to do some serious soul searching to find out why they are so intimidated with the way God intended for them to look. If we do not love ourselves and everything that makes us unique; we can't expect anyone else to show us love.

If she likes it...then I love it. People are too worried about celebrities hairstyles...they're people and some days they need to be allowed to experiment without it having a negative impact on the "world".
