Michelle is absolutely breathtaking in this photo. I have mixed feelings about the one-shoulder look (it makes me look like a cavewoman, personally) but she sure does know how to work it. Her makeup, flawless. Her hair, soft, romantic, and Hollywood glam all at the same time. I happen to love it. But I'm hearing some online commenters say it's a little "church picnic" for their liking. Hmph.
What do you think? Is Michelle O's latest do a triumph or...not so much?

I appreciate people who like to sport their natural hair, but that's not everyone's preference. Let her do her and you do you. She looks great, and saying anything further is unnecessary.

Mrs Obama does nothing to bring attention to herself. She is not a drunkard or flamboyant. And they cant seem to dig up anything about her past. So, this is the news we receive from the press about the Queen of the United States. Its not my decision to like the style or even the politics. My support is giving honor to whom honor is due.

Ash, i can understand where yuo are coming from, This fool "cookie" and i agree with the other commenter that she is very ignorant to state that you must be white to comment about seeing the first lady in natural curls. Though everyone has a choice of how they choose to style their hair, me personally as a very prideful black, I love seeing our race wearing our hair in a our natural state. Cookie has got to have more pride in herself because she seem like another self hater about her hair and the words and natural, nappy or kinky all three words are very positive to blacks who love themselves.

I think it looks great on her, reminds me of Pauletta Washington's look, Denzel ain't complainin.
It's more mature. The younger, latest bob might not be distingished enough for an evening affair, but this look goes dress and casual. Kudos!

Her hair looks great. So tired of the natural hair wearing sisters acting as if those who are not are somehow "less" than they are. I don't get the "you're probably white" comment but I can understand someone being irritated with people pushing their natural hair beliefs onto other folks. How you wear your hair doesn't make you a better person, doesn't make you more enlightened and it certainly doesn't mean you have higher self esteem.

I wear my hair natural and I get plenty of compliments, but I know that it is not for everyone. I think the First Ladys hair looks great.
