Ok ok, I have curly hair, and I must admit that I like my hair. I also have a solution for the straight hair sites....Why not try going natural for a minute. You just might like it and you might ever like yourself more. Eventually all that perming is going to go beneath the scalp. Some of us already are working with half a deck so why allow chemicals to further destroy your brains. What is wrong with black women? The sista in the pic is wearing her hair straight with colored contact lens. Looking at her I don't see where any of this makes a difference in her appearance. We still see who she is. All I'm saying is, give weave a break, give straighting a break, give wigs a break, give your eyeballs a break(colored lens)give yourself a chance to love your natural beauty. We are some of the most beautiful women in the world. We age gracefully. White women are buying butts, lips, reshaping their face structure all to have what we were born with. Stop it sisters, stop it.

It seems that black women have really forgotten what their born look is including myself. I have gotten my hair back to it's natural stage and it was never kinky so I love it, it's feels so free. I was a prisoner to relaxers, weaves and wigs but to be able to wear my own natural hair again was like being reborned. I love my hair, my very own hair that grows out of my head and it is so healthy again.

Thanks for the shout out, Patrice. I agree with your list of great straight hair blogs. I read all of them regularly. For me, it's all about healthy hair, relaxed or natural. I don't rule anything out. I've learned tons during the journey because healthy hair is the end game.
Thanks again!

Has anyone ever seen an infomercial about the Maxi-glide Steaming Flat Iron.
Trust me it works! My mom, my sisters and I swear by it! Wouldn't leave home without it!
