Next time I hit Target, I won't just spend time admiring the Liberty of London collection and buying Archer Farms snacks. Well, I'll do that too...but I'll also make some time for the beauty aisle. Target has stepped their beauty department game up something fierce. Besides stocking the shelves with phenomenal cosmetics brands like Sonia Kashuk, Napoleon Perdis, JK Jemma Kidd, and Pixi, now Target has done what no other popular retail chain has done before: lead the way in sales of natural hair products.
That's right ladies, you can get some of your favorite natural hair products at Tar-jay! Miss Jessie's hit Target on March 28th --click here for a detailed list of store locations, complete with phone numbers so you can make sure your products are in stock.
If you're new to Miss Jessie's, I highly recommend starting out with Curly Buttercreme, or Curly Meringue. Few products give my hair the moisture and curl definition that these product do.
Also now available at Target -- the Jane Carter Solution! Jane Carter's products give natural nutrients and moisture to hair of many textures -- my curls love it, and many that I know with a looser curl pattern love it too! Plus she's got products for twists, roller sets, and those of us who use products to sculpt our hair into styles that need hold. My absolute favorite Jane Carter products are the Leave In Conditioner, Nourish and Shine, and the Scalp Nourishing Serum. I'm convinced that this product helped to alleviate my flakes and keep my scalp feeling fresh and itch-free. Love it!!
And FYI - just in case you're not near a Target and you need some natural hair goodness, hit up Whole Foods! The Kinky Curly line of products is sold there, and the Knot Today is NOT to be missed!
It's wonderful to see small businesses grow to the point where they're sold nationwide in such mainstream retailers!
Have you tried any of these products? Which are your faves?

THANK GOD FOR MISS JESSIES! Now I don't have to go stockpiling from Ricky's when I happen to blow through New York. Kinky girls get you some buttercream and be happy being nappy. Jane Carter Solution is good too.

I've never tried any of these products, but Pascere is my favorite (pascere.com). They only sell them in Atlanta. I wonder if the product will show up in Target soon nationwide. I hope so! It made my hair grow!!

The problem is that not all Targets are selling Miss Jessies...because the store in my neighborhood is not selling them. I went in excited and got disappointed...I ended up ordering like always.
I also use Kinky Curly products and they are great...especially Knot Today, excellent conditioner and makes my hair like butter...I don't shop at Whole Foods, there is not one in my neighborhood I'd have to travel too far.

THOUGHTS ON THE “MISS JESSIE’S” PRODUCTS:
1)The “MISS JESSIE’S” products USE MINERAL OIL
& PETROLATUM (both of which damage both
hair & skin) AS two of the KEY INGREDIENTS
2) Titi & Miko – THE OWNER’S of the “Miss Jessie’s”
product line (AND most of THE CLIENTS they choose
to photograph) -- achieve their hair-styles because
they USE what they call ”Silkener”' (which is simply
a mild relaxer / texturizer & made of CHEMICALS).
3) The same results can be achieved for a fraction of
the cost by going to a store and purchasing / applying
the same dangerous (ex. relaxer / texturizer) as well
as damaging (ex. mineral oil / petrolatum) products.
4) People should save their money (and hair) by avoiding
the cheaply-made / expensively-sold products (such as
the ”Miss Jessie’s” line) that contain worthless and
harmful ingredients such as mineral oil / petrolatum
and / or are “chemically-dependent” to achieve results.
