Elsewhere in the world, it's known as a fringe. But here in the USA, they're called bangs -- and wearing your hair cut short on your forehead is apparently the hot thing to do, judging from the latest celebrity styles and what I'm seeing on the street! Here are the hottest types of bangs, as modeled by the celebs who are making the headlines.

Blunt bangs, a la Nicki Minaj.

Bright hair color and blunt bangs have become synonymous with Young Money's Nicki Minaj -- and it's a hot look in the streets, apparently. I'm seeing a whole lotta girls wearing clipped-in, multicolored hair or bangs that are cut straight across the forehead. Sometimes in another color completely. Blue or pink bangs, anyone?

Long bangs, a la Rihanna.

This look is not for everyone -- bangs cut so long that they obscure your eyebrows can make you look alien-like. But if you've got a passion for fashion and you enjoy setting off a look with bold makeup, then go for it!

Wispy, side-swept bangs, a la Monica.

Monica has such a gorgeous face that she can pull off any style, but short and sassy seems to suit her personality best. She's been working some side-swept bangs lately, and it's a very laid-back, easy-to-wear style that I can see gaining popularity as we move from spring into summer. Love it!
