Forget for one moment that Alicia Keys has been actually stepping out in public with her semi-scandalous boyfriend Swizz Beatz and take a look at the singer's naturally curly locks, which she put on full display at a Gotham magazine party recently.
Do you like Keys' wavy half-up look or do you prefer sleek and straight?

I love her music

and yes we need to see more Dark skinned black women not biracial passed off as black
biracial stars are fine but lets call a spade a spade

Her hair is nice...........one person talks about Dark skin women having some coverage.......Mostly the dark ones are portray as Loud-fat- foul-Mouth-depressing roles, poverty stricken, trouble maker-Criminals or prostitutes stereo types of what they think a Back women is....what about winning an award for intelligent roles.....
What about having Angela Bassit, Janet Jackson, Ms. Washington and other Brown skin playing intelligent roles, being feminine and sexy.....not loud mouth, cursing, acting defiant and arguing with their Black mate or arguing period.......
Thank God for Tyler Perry.....that's hiring Black actresses....

**Shaking my head** It never fails when I come to blackvoices there is a light skinned dark skinned conversation going on...Many of you should spend time reading and learning to love your black self..That would eliminate some of this talk...I also see some stupid topics or questions..Like this one about her hair, hmmm, black folks got all kinds of hair textures whether they are mixed or not..Just like the rest of us, she can wear it straight or curly....Someone needs to start asking some intelligent questions around here..Do you get tired of this type of unintelligent conversation? Apparently NOT

I knw that everything that has been heard is not all true, I also beleive that Alecia Keys is pure classy, Not nasty, I don't C her ass he type 2 mess with others men, Only God can really Judge her or the situation for that matter I am sure that she will encourage Swizz whom has already proved worthy a good father to pay them and be a great Father to his children and bro's or Sis of Keys child.
I am happy for her she is a great roll model, doesn't havta complete by the removal of clothes just Beautiful , in heart mind talent & nature I pray that God Bless their families together.

I have read everyone's comments and I think its funny about the light skin vs. dark skin comment, I am a dark skin sista with a light skin mamma, whether she is mixed or not she has to put up with not only your crap saying she isn't black enough but from white people as well because she isn't white! I mean, give it up, she identifies as black so that is what she is. She is talented, no she is not the most talented out there to be Jennifer Hudson could sing her under a rug,but that's just me, and India.Arie's lyrics are better but hey. I know someone mentioned earlier the reason Beyonce and Alicia get more attention is because they are closer to the European standard, I think its also because their lyrics aren't really about anything? Have you ever just listened to the words? I mean artists whose music has a real message, regardless of skin color, those are the ones we don't hear from.
But to answer the real question I do like her hair curly, I think everyone should be true to themselves and if that means wearing the hair the way God gave it to you, than by all means boo, do you!
