It really shouldn't make a difference what women wear on their heads...however, when you see every Black woman you know or don't know sporting wigs and weaves ALL OF THE TIME, you have to ask yourself why? Is it really just style and flexibility? Is that all? I know some women that haven't shown their real hair in years! I realize other women do these things, but we're not concerned with them. We're the ones spending billions of dollars with companies and people who don't give back to our communities. We're the ones making everybody wealthy except ourselves. We have to look at the bigger picture..how are we in a recession and can't find jobs but we're spending billions on hair! You have to see the insanity in that. I can see why celebs wear weaves, they can't have all that heat and product in their hair everyday for what they do, but for the everyday woman, come on now...I know you want to look beautiful, but when did your own hair stop being beautiful? And half the time, the weaves and wigs DO NOT look good. The colors aren't right, you can see real hair sticking out here and there, I mean it's a mess! Truly, we've lost our minds and I swear I can't believe Black women are doing this. When a Black woman loses her sanity, we got a problem and it's happening. Justify it, deny it, say what you want, but there's a problem when you spend billions making others who don't care about you wealthy!!!

Wow I can't believe some of the stuff I read. Black people complain about white people criticizing and saying harsh things, yet here we are doing the same thing to one another. Who cares what a black woman wants to do with her hair. By wearing a hair weave it doesn't make her any less black. I just love it when black people try to tone another persons blackness down. It's 2010 and we've come a very long way, hair weaves or not.
