I loved Goodies, Promise was my JAM, but I can't say that I always keep abreast of everything Ciara is up to.

I think she's adorable and I do admire her dancing skills, though. Stylistically at times, it's seemed that Ciara is still trying to figure things out. Not that there's anything wrong with that, she's a beautiful young lady. But goodness knows it can't be easy being in the public eye. Especially when you've got battling hairdressers smacking you down in the blogosphere.

In this corner, hairdresser #1 - Emmy award winning Warren-Tricomi Los Angeles salon stylist Kiyah Wright. In an interview with Bellasugar, she revealed that Cici still has her long hair, but she's rocking a short wig for the summer.

"Ciara has such a little, petite, cute face, and she told me that she wanted to go short. She wanted to do the Halle Berry, but I thought "We need a little sexy, we need a little swagger in front, so let's just give it a little bit of lift." But I didn't want it to look like Rihanna's cut, either, so I cut all of it with thinning sheers and kept it tight on the sides, then added a swoop bang and gave her a reddish-auburn highlight in the front, just to break up the black a little bit."

Cute idea!

But in the OTHER corner we've got hairdresser #2 -- celebrated stylist Shirlena Allen, who had some complaints. From Necole Bitchie:

"Sorry to say Ciara's pic in short hair Kiyah did not do , I did the photo shoot with Derek Blanks. Now the one with her and Kiyah ,is Kiyah's work. Two different styles , the wig used and work on the photo shoot she doesn't even want to pay me for for , let alone I ask for the wig back a year ago, she says she cant find it. There is a huge difference in work, mine's is a little more sexy. She has no identity. Still trying to find a look.

The pics of Ciara on the post for her twitter is my work, the beautiful makeup head shot was done a year ago in Atlanta, that other crap is Kiyah, wack . Please make a correction. We spent hours trying to find this child a look and she still bites and don't listen to a list. She's a year behind all of it. Crazy! She would have been rocking it all before all if she listen, now she looks like a knock off."

My thoughts?

It's gotta be really hard to be a young female celebrity these days. There's always a pressure on you to update your look, to shine in the spotlight, to be cutting edge and hot and the one to follow. Also... I hate to say this but it's pretty unprofessional for stylist #2 to go running to the gossip blogs. It's not a good look. If I were a celebrity looking to get my hair done, that'd make me think twice. No shade, just sayin'.

But enough about what I think.
