Entertainers like Tina Turner have been performing in a wigs for decades, but the lace front wig, which allows for a natural-looking part in the hair, has really taken black Hollywood by storm. Beyoncé has been the lace front wig's biggest and most famous fan (or offender, depending on how you feel about lace fronts) and has taken flack from bloggers in the past for being snapped with a visible lace or wig glue along her hairline. Perhaps in response to criticism, Miss Knowles and her famous colleagues have stepped up their wig game. But that doesn't mean they've abandoned the lace front. I still don't understand how they work. How much do they go for? I mean a really good one, but not astronomical in price. Any one know a web site? Can you get a decent one for under $200?

not a good one, they good are between $800- $2000, they can get upto 5000.

You can check your local hair stores and see if you buy a wig from them, will they apply it. Here in Boston, several places do that for tips.

It really depends on what you are looking for. The one in the pic is most likely human hair which can run into the 1000s according to grade. And then there are synthetic lace fronts which can run any where from 50 - 500 again that is according to grade. I work for a private company as a Hair Fashion Buyer Consultant for Beauty Supply vendors in the Philadelphia Metro area. What I fail to understand is why these people donot grow their hair. Granted all of that hair on Oprah's head is not her's. At least she did grow a decent length. Wear those wigs if you must,but with all your money just grow it.

Suse what ppl want is their perogative and not yours to tell ppl what they oughta do. if some ppls hair could grow, naturally they wouldn't buy one. then again: some ppl just like wigs and could where them no matter what haters have to say about it!
