While American men spend huge amounts of their hard-earned money in the often-futile quest of preventing baldness, some famous female celebrities are breaking out the razors and going either fully or partially bald. Most recently, Solange Knowles came under fire from some of her more conservative fans after she showed off her closely cropped 'do on the street last week.
Even babies are getting in on the trend. Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown recently gave Angel Murphy, her daughter with Eddie Murphy, an edgy Mohawk. But you know how they say fashion is cyclical? Mohawks have been around for decades, and women like Grace Jones have been rockin' a fierce bald head since before razor-happy stars like Solange, Cassie and Rihanna were born.

Well, long flowing hair is beautiful, but there's so much more to beauty than just hair. I agree, they do look beautiful (and taking care of all that hair is a full-time job in itself anyway).

Nice comment.
Hair means very little if the brain under it is imbecilic and psychoneurotic!

Yet another question to ask my friends who set me up on blind dates "Is she a cue ball?" If I wanted to get with a bald person, I'd go gay, date a man, and not put up with the headaches.

Would you buy a car based on it's appearance? or do you check under? Don't get it wrong outter beauty is an illusion. Do you want the long hair woman to come get you out the burning house. nope she might mess that hair. Or true beauty that's based on what's under the hood.

I got to agree with you, gr8bsn. I wouldn't date bald or crewcut women. She'd have to be a bad mamajama in every other way before I even considered it. I don't want a woman with hair shorter than mine. I'd be kissing her then reach up to cradle her head and feel that bald scalp and that would make me think Im kissing a dude. I don't like weaves either though. I want a woman with long natural hair. Braid it up and grow it out if it aint already long, ladies.

Of course you check under the hood of the car, but if you don't like the way the car looks why bother checking the engine?
Appearance is a reflection of personality. It is pretty much universally accepted that men prefer long hair. A woman with short hair (or bald) is saying she doesn't care what men think--and that's fine. But don't then demand that men find her attractive anyway!

I can't help but LMAO at both gr8bsn and sharkchops, you two have some serious issues. I bet both of you have to include a 'no homo' comment when talking about how another guy's suit or his overall look.
Stop being so insecure...and homophobic, for that matter.

I went bold to support children with cancer, so people can help them with 25cm of hair for their wigs so they can go suimming.
