Alicia Keys' BET Awards Hair Fabulousness

I did two posts on BET Award makeup over at Afrobella -- one required guesswork on my part, the other was a step-by-step product guide and makeup tips for Tatyana Ali and Alicia Keys' makeup, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff.

Alicia looked stunning from head to toe, and one of my readers really wanted to get the step-by-step deetz on her super bouncy, super fabulous hair. Thankfully, Pantene Celebrity Stylist Tippi Shorter -- who is no stranger to BV readers -- came to the rescue!

The stunning stylist also regularly works with the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Rihanna, and Keri Hilson, and she was the genius behind A.Keys amazing look at the awards ceremony.

Take it away, Tippi!

1. I started with the Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Smooth Vitality Shampoo & Conditioner. I love the smell and it made her smooth and manageable for styling.

2. I used the Ego Boost Leave-in by Bed Head to detangle her curls, and then applied the Pantene Pro-V Curls Anti-Frizz Cream through the strands. This was the foundation to have those big curls last throughout the heat without frizz or fly-aways.

3. I used an iron about the size of my pinky to refine her curls, adding the Ojon Serum to separate and fluff her curls for all-night body.

4. I finished the look with a strong holding hairspray to keep the curls in place.

Et voila! Alicia looked d'gorgeous as she recieved the BET 2009 Humanitarian Award. And note to my curly haired and natural amigas who crave moisture -- Ojon is the TRUTH!

I'll admit, it's an expensive truth, though.
