Consistency/Scent:
The shampoo is pearly white and smells kind of like baby wipes. The conditioner is light yellow and smells like coconuts. The products are very fragrant in the shower but the scent seems to fade after a day or two.

Results:
It's about six to eight weeks since my last relaxer. I washed twice with the Moisturizing shampoo. It lathered nicely and rinsed clean. While my hair was tangle free, it did not feel super moisturized or soft.

I applied the Moisturizing Conditioner to my hair in sections, covered with a plastic cap and deep conditioned for 25 minutes under a hood dryer. Then, I rinsed out the product and roller set my hair on large gray rollers. My hair was very easy to detangle and set. After I took out the rollers, I combed out the curls with a paddle brush, wrapped my hair and went to bed.

Positive:
When I unwrapped my hair the next morning, it was bouncy and shiny. My hair was luminescent! It also felt super strong and there was virtually no breakage. My hair felt smooth and silky. I was pleasantly surprised!

Negative:
I did notice that while my hair felt smooth and silky, it didn't feel soft. It had the strong "piano wire" feel to it. This may have been caused by the "hydrolyzed wheat protein". Every time, I use a product with this ingredient, my hair has that same "piano wire" feel to it. But adding a tablespoon of Sweet Almond Oil will counteract this effect.

Overall, I am digging Kenra! The marriage of protein and moisture makes this a great weekly product line for women looking to add strength and moisture to their hair. Adding a few drops of a "softening" oil like Sweet Almond Oil or Grapeseed Oil will make it unstoppable.

I hope this was helpful! For more tips and techniques, you can find me at www.healthytextures.com.
