According to KSHB-TV, A Kansas City, MO woman might not be here if it weren't for her weave which caught a bullet her ex boyfriend fired at her.
The 20-year-old, whose name has not been released, told police that she pulled into a convenience store on Wednesday night and saw her ex-boyfriend of eight months there.
After telling her ex's friend that she no longer loved him, she told police she saw her ex walk toward her car firing a gun. She sped away as her car's back window shattered.
Officers found the bullet in the woman's hair and said her "tightly-woven weave" most likely saved her life.

Everyone needs to get over it all, there are good and bad in all races! Obviously those of you leaving negative remarks are the bad! Live your damn life do right by God, yourself, and others and nothing else matters. I don't care what the white, black ,purple , or green people think of me or other people like me, I am both of black heritage and white heritage and both of my parents are beautiful beautiful people who never allowed us to focus on hate or dwell on the past, my parents are still together 38 years later, they are very different as far as the color of their skin but are good good people, so damn all that bullsh**, stop being a hater prejudice people and for those that blame their downfalls on history get over it!!

My god. Shut the hell up with all of the black crap. You're not slaves anymore. This generation or the generation before did not enslave black people. This is why no one likes you - you're so goddamn dramatic and use history as an excuse of why you do things wrong. I know plenty of racist african americans. And btw, stop saying your "black community" because if we ever said our "white community" the mighty pathetic al sharpton would be "all up on our ass"

Omg!!! a life was almost taken and all you people can talk about is slavery and nasty weaves etc. etc. let's be thankful that this woman is alive Im sure she has a mother, father, brother, sister or loved one that's thankful she made it through this alive.

I live in the deep south and you can rest assured that blacks are NOT being lynched or held back..The only thing that would hold them back these days is a lack of education. Far too many blacks drop out of school and doom themselves to a life of menial jobs. The same thing holds true for ignorant, uneducated whites. I'm an entrepreneur and I'd be foolish to hold back ANY employee who can do quality work. I advance people on MERIT, not race.
