Shut up. White people eat humans and torture people in their basement.
Do you have a ratio for that?

It's funny how people non-blacks always say that blacks are using slavery as an excuse because it ended 150 years ago, but the fact of the matter is, it is not an excuse. It is however, the root of all the racial problems in this country. Slavery may have ended, but what is the use of being free if you are still denied basic human rights. For 100 years after slavery ended, blacks were still being murdered and lynched just because of their color. So, it was not that long ago, just look at some of the videos from the civil rights movements of the 60's. Tell me how many times you've seen police and firemen turn hoses and dogs loose on whites. How many times have you seen police beat whites with batons just for having a peaceful demonstration? This was not 150 years ago, this was my generation, my parents, and my siblings. No, this is not an excuse, this is reality.

Thank you, you hit it on the head. Some people are not just gonna get it. Tell them to reverse history and let the whites have been in slavery. You see they have no excuse for not being successful. So, all should be blessed with a fine education and so on.....

Ignore statistics, deny there truth is what? A way of avoiding the facts as hogwash, wrong and just another white mans way of silently through statistics bashing the blackman. The fact that educated black women can not find an equal in blackmen for a mate is a truth admitted by the educated blackwomen. Wise up balckmen of America, those of you that insist on complaining and continueing to blame slavery and anything else they can use to cover up the fact that they are simply lazy and find crime a more profitable way of earning a living then thru education and honest hard work.I do not intend to pretend that blacks were considered far below whites in our society but man that has all changed a great deal now. The intelligence of the black race in America is everywhere and those that insist on a life of crime are no less intelligent than those blacks that are in the poor pitifull me group. There stuppidity is there contnueing to blame the white man of another century for all there problems in this country. The slaughter of blacks by blacks in Africa should irk the lawless blacks of this country more than blameing slavery for there poor treatment of yesteryear. We are all more than ever today a part of the human race. Moveing forward not complaining about what happen to there ancestors is the key to a better life. I am not intneding to act as if slavery in America did not happen, we all know it did, and it was cruel and wrong and was abolilshed in America at a stagering cost of lives. To me the black race in America is important to America, there culture, there endurence and there strength provide me with great respect for those blacks that have overcome the past and made the decision to strive for a better America through there pride and abilitly to excell in the current America and not be draged down by there past. If you read the writings of Willie Lynch, you will know that practices during slavery were designed to last hundreds of years. So to say that 150 after slavery is an excuse it is not. I just say read it; it was a guide to how to treat the slaves and how the effects would last for generation after generation. Plus, is slavery truly over?

Hey Steve,
You are not speaking with much intelligence. First of all I am a female. I am so sick of people stating excuses for thier crimes for slavery that happened when they were not even alive. When our we going to stop blaming our issues and the crime rates among us due to slavery and things that happened not to us. the 20 year odl was not even around when blck men were treated like that. It is time that people take responsiblibilty for their actions and stop blaming it on how the blacks use to be treated.

Nearly 150 years after the end of slavery, it is still used as an excuse for behaviour by people who are several generations removed from it."
I find it interesting when people make comments asserting the disconnect between slavery and modern day conditions/behavior. The theory is that anything happening over 100 or so years ago has no bearing on current day events/behavior.
Most who advance these comments are likely christian, patriotic, car driving americans who read in the light and eat vegetables.
But according to their logic, since Christ died on the cross over 2000 years ago, His life and death has no bearing on behavior today-thus Christians don't-or shouldn't actually exist today. According to their logic, people today would have no basis to call themselves Americans, since the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were all penned in the 1700s. If we applied their logic, it would be impossible for us to drive cars since the invention of the automobile in 1769 has no relevance to today's activities. How could we consume mass produced fruits and vegetables but for the Neolithic revolution?
The point is current thoughts, ideas, and events do not take place in a vacuum. There is certainly historical context that influences everything we do tosome degree or another. It is disingenuous to suggest otherwise.

Pay Attention BOY
Blame the Tribal Chief's in your mud hut technology home jungle. This is where one tribe would capture another tribe and either eat them or sell them to slave buyers. You are the lucky ones whose ancestors missed the pot and caught the boat you learned a lot after being brought to this country.-------Also some white owners injected some Brains into the Colored Gene Pool...
Now You Are Bitchin
