According to KSHB-TV, A Kansas City, MO woman might not be here if it weren't for her weave which caught a bullet her ex boyfriend fired at her.
The 20-year-old, whose name has not been released, told police that she pulled into a convenience store on Wednesday night and saw her ex-boyfriend of eight months there.
After telling her ex's friend that she no longer loved him, she told police she saw her ex walk toward her car firing a gun. She sped away as her car's back window shattered.
Officers found the bullet in the woman's hair and said her "tightly-woven weave" most likely saved her life.

Hair weave is saving lives now? Hilarious!!!! And why do we call it weave again? Why can't we call them extensions? That has always bugged me.

There are weaves and then there are extentions, there is a difference

Extensions are either glued on, clipped on, or weaved into a mesh cap. Or sometimes they are sewn on to tightly braided hair. I have heard the use of
Extensions and weaves equally.
I think possibly extensions are mainly just for extending portions whereas a weave is a term used for a full head weaving of hair.
Hope that helps.. It really doesn't matter that much does it?

By your comment it sounds like you also reside in America, therefore you too must be a heathen. Duh! BTW, I am the wife of USAF serviceman currently serving time Iraq. My husband willfully and admirably gave up his freedom to protect this great nation. That does not define the meaning of the word 'heathen' in my book, or Webster's dictionary. Please tell us...what good have you done lately "Angel?"
