If you are looking to add moisture and manageability to your hair, try honey! Its cheap, effective and can really improve the condition of your hair over time. Honey is a natural humectant, which means it attracts and holds on to water molecules, making a great treatment for dry, damaged hair. For a deep conditioning boost, add a tablespoon of honey and oil to your conditioner and let penetrate for 20-30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Despite its sticky texture, the honey treatment will rinse easily from the hair, as long as you are using equal parts of honey and oil.
For extra softness and sheen, apply honey to damp hair and let sit from 20 minutes. Then, shampoo, condition and style. Your hair should feel softer and more manageable.
Note - Honey can lighten the hair over time. If you would like to darken your hair, substitute molasses for honey.

I wonder why honey is not a staple in many hair care products.

Thanks for the hair tips especially the one for darkening the hair. Do any one have any tips on darkening gray hair without using dye. Will the molasses darken gray back to black if used often enough. Please email at vivianh365@aol.com. I would greatly appreciate the information. I am 65 and my hair is turning gray but I do not want to dye it.

Wow! I will surely try it as soon as I get a plastic cap. Should I wet my hair when using the Molasses? I can't wait.

Mustard is a great facial as well. mayo makes hair healthy as well . When using mustard it will begin to burn a little but it cleans the pores. Wash off with a lupe warm rag then use a cold rag to close pores. I promise you will see a difference.
