There are a few product lines that are household names; Keracare, Nexxus, Mizani, etc. But there are also product lines that seem to be flying under the radar. With the help of the members on my site, I compiled this list of lesser known but still fantastic products.1. Nairobi
This line has a very comprehensive set of products, from shampoos to moisturizers. Their setting lotion is famous for creating silky roller sets without the typical hard, crunchy feel.
2. Silk Elements
Many overlook this product line because it is inexpensive. However, nothing creates shiny, sexy hair like Silk Elements.
3. Design Essentials
Another great line of products that many people are not familiar with. They have a variety of home maintenance products and seem committed to educating consumers about healthy hair care.
4. Hairveda
A line products developed for highly textured hair. They use Indian herbs and recipes to create products that are gentle and effective on natural and chemically processed hair.
5. Dominican Products
A lot of Dominican products are inexpensive and chock full of natural ingredients. Check out this site for a variety of Dominican products and recommendations.

PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH AND GIVE THE FACTS AS THEY ARE, KERACARE, NEXXUS, MIZANI AND SILK ELEMENTS ARE NOT OWNED BY THEIR CUSTOMER BASE AND DO NOT GENERATE JOBS IN OUR COMMUNITIES.

Lady Dee,
Lucky is saying these product lines are neither owned by African Americans nor provide jobs for us in our community. Another great line of products is "Carol's Daughter." Try the Hair Butter. If you have natural hair and want it temporarily straight, the Hair Butter helps to achieve the look. Also works great with a roller set. Products are at Sephora and on line.

I started using Silk Elements after a family member who owns a beauty shop recommended them. It's been great for my hair, keeps it growing and healthy. It's only available, as far as I know, from Sally Beauty Supply.

Nairobi Products are one of the best line of products on the market. As a hair stylist I have used these products and found the line to be one of the best out there. After 20 years in the business it is great to find a product that really produces the feel of hair that your customers can and will be proud of.
