1) In transit? Wear your hair up!As the weather gets cooler, the ends of your hair will start coming into contact with harsh fabrics, like wool and polyester, from your coat or hat. Protect your ends from unnecessary friction by pulling the hair back and tucking the ends into a bun or cute updo.
2) Avoid curling or flat ironing in the morning
I know its very easy to plug in the flat iron or curling iron each morning but the extra heat and stress on your hair could lead to unnecessary split ends overtime.
The morning heat routine can be avoided by spending a few extra minutes on your hair at night. Add satin rollers (Hype Hair makes a great line of rollers) for soft curls, braid hair for sexy waves or twist into multiple loose buns for a loose Victoria's Secret look. These techniques will all add a soft, natural look to your hair.
3) Add one drop of oil to the ends each day
Right after I unwrap or unravel my hair, I add one drop of oil to my palms and apply to the ends of my hair. The one drop of oil keep my ends supple and prevents my hair from becoming weighed down or greasy. Some of my personal favorite oils are grapeseed, avocado and sweet almond, as they are super light and absorb nicely into the hair.

Just cornrow it and put in a sew-in weave for the winter months - you will have some much new growth in the spring! But be careful to treat it very carefully whether with chemicals and heat if that is your preference.

Organics Hair Mayonnaise by Africa's Best is amazing, seriously. Its for weak and damaged hair, you can use it daily or deep condition your hair with it.

I wash my hair at least once a week, depending on your physical activities. I cut those split ends every six week. I have a natural, I do not use heat or harsh chemicals on my hair. I apply oil to my ends at night, spray on a little detangler and braid it before going to bed.

Great ideas, but I just wrap my hair daily, apply oil on my ends. I'm not scared to bump it now and again, but not everyday. Ladies Do-Grow oil is really good. You can find it at any beauty supply store.

Bella you are so right because that is the way I would always do mine in the 90's, it works. I am going to start back doing it too because my hair is baby fine and when I have weave for the winter months my hair seemed to be thicker also.
