Are you looking for ways to add more shine to your hair? Try a cold water rinse!
Thirty seconds under cold running water will help seal the cuticles on the hair shaft, trapping moisture in the hair and creating that beautiful hair commercial shine. Your hair will instantly feel softer and silkier.
It also constricts the opening of the sebaceous glands to help moderate sebum production on the scalp.
If you would rather not rinse in the shower, add cold water to your spray bottle and spritz the hair in sections before styling. Or, place your liquid leave-in in the fridge for 20 minutes and spray hair before blow-drying or setting for silky, smooth tresses!

AVOID SHELDEEZ HAIR SALON!!! They provided HORRIBLE service - their lead stylist Angela (also the manager)is catty, gossipy, slow, unprofessional, and her behavior is TOTALLY supported by Arthur Robinson(hmmm, wonder why...)- who, when I complained, told me "Do what you gotta do!" - So I am, I'm trying to warn us - all that advertises on TV isn't gold (in this case, Sheldeez is "fool's gold" - looks good, but worth nothing.... Don't say you weren't warned

BEWARE SHELDEEZ HAIR SALON IN HERNDON!!! I've never been more disgusted with a "black" hair salon. The manager, Angela - also their lead stylist, is catty, gossipy, slow, ever-distracted, a bully, and generally unprofessional. However, Arthur Robinson supports her behavior! When I complained, he refused to return my money (although he initially offered, but when I took him up on it, well)....and told me forcefully "Do what you gotta do!" So, I am. I'm warning anyone swayed by their commercials and ads, as I was. They were HORRIBLE!!! From overbooking to ignoring clients, followed by terrible service. Don't say you weren't warned. Try anywhere else, really....

This is a great tip. Although, I actually rinse with warm water first, then I rinse with cold water. As a result, my hair holds its shine and curls-- even after air-drying.

Never thought of that. I'll try it when I wash my hair. Anything so I wont have to put a lot of stuff on my hair to make it shine,

I'ver heard about using cold water when washing/conditioning the hair. My old hair stylist told me this a few yrs back when I almost jumped out of the washing chair b/c of the surprise I got when she turned on the cold water. Being that I do my hair myself at home, I haven't done cold yet, rather luke warm. But I'll def try it next wk when I wash my hair again.

Years ago as cosmetology student our instructor always reminded us to rinse the hair well with warm water to open the pores, followed by a cold water rinse to close the pores. To this day 44 years later it still works.
