Lovely Def Jam singer Chrisette Michele sheds her medium length hair for a sassy, sexy short do with bronze and blonde highlights and a spiky front. Her natural make up and pretty white dress keep her young and fresh. (Photo by Frazer Harrison, Getty Images)

Our girl Fantasia who has kept short hair since the beginning of her career, tries to take it next level with very short platinum blonde sides under an asymmetric jet black top cascading to one side. Um...jury's still out on this one. (Photo by Frazer Harrison, Getty Images)

Kelis, our favorite boss chick, one who has been rocking short hair for a minute, still switches it up with a big layered bang and 70s shades for a retro feel. Black is the color tonight. (Photo by Arnold Turner, WireImage.com)

Alright, Beyonce's hair is not short -- but this IS short for the Texan born beauty who has always done it BIG. Her hair for the 50th Grammys was finally MODERN with lots of blonde streaks over darker low lights.(Photo by Kevin Winter, Getty Images)

Dressed in all black like the omen, Keyshia Cole, goes jet black in her hair, outfit and even nails. The ringlets in front are pretty, but all that black washes her light complexion out. (Photo by Steve Granitz, WireImage.com)

On the red carpet, Bajan born Rihanna lets these chicks have it with her long choppy, bang and short mohawk down the back. In THE BEST DRESS by Zac Posen; hair, make-up, and understated jewelry make Rihanna a shoe-in for best look of the night. (Photo by Gabriel Bouys, Getty Images)

But wait a minute -- oh no, there's more! No Rihanna DIDN'T switch the hair up mid-show (same dress but different hair), giving them a second look for her short style. Trading in the precision wisps for a softer upsweep, Miss Ri beckons elegance when she picked up her award. (Photo by Robyn Beck, Getty Images)

I saw "stretching" here as a suggestion on Black Voices..relaxing the hair less often which I know has helped with my hair breakage. It is a fact that the following WILL grow anyone's hair and fast= moisture and the correct blend of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. I had thick strong hair until like an idiot I tried to put in a color that was clearly to harsh for my hair. It destroyed it and inches fell :( My hair dresser told me to go to www.horizonshaircare.com The hair vitamins I bought there can only be described as amazing. You will see all the new growth coming in within the first few weeks, and there is just no other oil, or home concotion that can do that for you. Go to the site and you will get that growth and fast! I'm hoping for another 3-4 inches this months.

I am sorry but who ever put up the advice about the horizonshaircare.com please don't believe that. Horizonshaircare is nothing more than a BIG SCAM!!!! All they do is target on people who are in need of getting healthy hair. The moment they get your money they take it as fast as they can and never even have the respect to send the vitamins to you and on top of that their phone number on their website is no longer working. Ladies if you want healthy hair take vitamins from GNC not from phony websites like horizonshaircare.

I am a black female whose hair has been extremely damaged (DRY, BRITTLE, and SHEDDING) due to a stylist in Atlanta who put too dark of a semi perm color on my hair and in the process (over a few months) of trying to get it out, my hair became extremely damaged (I don’t know WHAT in the world she used that caused my hair to get to this bad place). Can someone PLEASE recommend a salon that can work with me in restoring my hair BACK to a healthy state? I do have a relaxer and would like to continue getting them along with definitely getting a semi perm color for ALL MY GRAY. So, I do not want names of salons that only specialize in natural hair.
Whatever info anyone can provide me with will be greatly appreciated. I live in the North part of Atlanta....Brookhaven, HOWEVER, I am willing to go the distance to get my hair properly cared for.
Please do not recommend any Dominican Salons because I hear they are pretty rough with your hair, and right now, my hair does not need that. But, I also hear they have your hair LOOKING TIGHT!
Thanks All...
