Finally, Chaka Khan's first album in over 10 years has arrived - FUNK THIS! Keeping true to her burnt-red glamorous hairstyle, Chaka absolutely brings big waves and curly reddish-FROs back to life in her live performances! Chaka is shown here, singing at the 2007 'Angel Ball' presented by the G & P Foundation-- founded by Denise Rich to benefit a cure for Leukemia.

FUNK THIS! delivers traditional funky, soulful and R & B tunes with a modern upbeat twist-- the music we all love to hear from Chaka. The FUNK THIS! cd cover also features the DIVA with dark reddish-brown soft curls under a velvet hat.

Check out my favorite single, 'ANGEL', written by her majesty, Ms. Khan. She collaborated with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the power house producing team throughout most of Janet Jackson's career. I got a chance to see Chaka perform live at the Norfolk Westbury Music Theater in Long Island, just a few weeks ago. I can definitely testify - Ms. Khan's voice is back in tip top shape--stronger than ever. She sang and testified about her drug abuse and the spirit's presence that saved her life in this awesome and tearful performance at Westbury.
Chaka will also take on the role of Ms. Sophia with Be Be Winans (Harpo) in the Broadway production of 'The Color Purple', January 2008. Ms. Chaka Khan is Hair Apparent's original-- 'I'm Every Curly Fro Woman'.
